Wezabet vs SportPesa
One operator gives you more back. The other gives you more to bet on. Nothing in this comparison resolves until you decide which of those you are buying.

Start with the bonus terms, because they are unusually far apart
SportPesa publishes no welcome terms we could verify. This site previously carried a 100% up to Ksh 30,000 offer at 15x turnover; we could not find it on sportpesa.co.ke when we checked on 9 September 2026, so we withdrew it rather than soften it. That leaves you comparing a stated offer against an unstated one, and the honest way to read that is not as a point against SportPesa's product but as a reason to read its promotions page yourself before you deposit anything.
Wezabet approaches the same problem from the other end. The deposit bonus is a modest 5%, the accumulator boost runs to 300% on multi-bets, and the turnover requirement it publishes is 10x. More importantly, its main value line is not a bonus at all: up to 20% of net losses returned every day, with no wagering project attached to receiving it. SportPesa pays no standing cashback whatsoever. That is a zero, not a small number, and it is the single largest gap between these two operators.
There is a licensing distinction as well, and it deserves to be stated carefully rather than oversold. Wezabet holds two BCLB licence numbers, 0001282 and 0001283, separating sports betting from casino operations. SportPesa's own licence number we could not read off its site during this check, so we publish none for it rather than repeat a figure from elsewhere. That is a disclosure gap, not evidence of anything worse — SportPesa has operated through Kenyan licensing scrutiny for over a decade — but a number you can check yourself is worth more than one you cannot.
Now the other side: SportPesa's book is the deeper one
SportPesa runs the richest in-play offering in the Kenyan market. For a bettor who lives in the live tab — trading a match as it moves, taking corners and cards markets, wanting a price on the fourth-tier fixture nobody else lists — that depth is not a nice-to-have. It is the product. No amount of cashback compensates for a market that is not on the board when you want it.
Attached to that is a compliance record with genuine weight behind it. SportPesa has been through a full Kenyan licensing shutdown and come back, and an operator that has already survived a regulatory event tends to run its tax handling, record-keeping and age verification tighter than one that has not been tested. It has operated since 2014. Wezabet launched in 2024. That is a decade of difference in observed behaviour, and no promotional percentage erases it.
SportPesa's own daily withdrawal ceiling is Ksh 500,000 — identical to Wezabet's. So unlike the Betika comparison, payout headroom is simply not a differentiator here, and anyone presenting it as one is padding.
The Aviator question
Both operators carry Aviator; only one built something of its own around it. Wezabet runs the Aviator Kigongi Jackpot on weekdays between 3PM and 5PM, a proprietary scheduled promotion rather than a licensed game sitting in a lobby, and it also maintains a separate crash-games category alongside Aviatrix and other titles. SportPesa lists Aviator and stops there.
Whether that matters is entirely a question of what you play. It is decisive for a crash-game regular and irrelevant for someone who opens the app twice a week for the Mega Jackpot. We would rather say that plainly than inflate a scheduled promotion into a reason to switch sportsbooks.
How to resolve it
Ask what proportion of your betting is in-play. If the answer is most of it, SportPesa's market depth will outweigh a rebate you would collect on a shrinking pool of pre-match slips, and the unpublished welcome terms simply become an offer you decline. Take the account and ignore the welcome offer — that is a legitimate way to use SportPesa.
If the answer is very little of it, the numbers point the other way hard. You are paying a real price in foregone cashback for market depth you are not using, and Wezabet's daily rebate plus its casino floor is straightforwardly the better-value account.
Our recommendation
For in-play and market breadth, SportPesa is the better book and its long compliance record is worth real weight. For value returned to an ordinary pre-match or casino player, Wezabet wins clearly on daily cashback and turnover terms, and it is the operator we feature.
