Wezabet vs Betway
Twenty per cent back every day against the highest payout ceiling in Kenya and nothing back at all. No other pair on this site is this cleanly opposed.

Two operators at opposite ends of the same measure
Wezabet pays up to 20% of net losses back, every day. It is the highest standing cashback in our table and the only one paid daily. Betway pays nothing — a flat zero — and instead permits withdrawals of up to Ksh 1,500,000 in a single day, the highest ceiling of any BCLB-licensed operator we rank, triple Wezabet's Ksh 500,000. Both figures are published operator terms and both sit in the table above this text.
There is no clever synthesis available here. One operator is designed to soften a losing run as it happens; the other is designed to get a very large balance out of the account in one movement. You can want both things, but you cannot buy them from the same account in Kenya today, and any comparison that pretends the difference is a matter of taste is dodging the question.
Whose money is at stake, and how much of it
Run the numbers against your own account rather than in the abstract. If a heavy month for you is Ksh 40,000 of net losses, Wezabet's rebate is worth up to Ksh 8,000 of that back — and it arrives daily, in pieces, while you are still playing. Betway's ceiling in that same month is a specification you will never touch. The choice is not close.
Invert the bankroll and the answer inverts with it. If you routinely carry a balance in the high hundreds of thousands, Ksh 1,500,000 in one day is the difference between one settlement and three, and cashback on losses becomes a secondary consideration next to control over your own funds. Betway is the operator that scaled its payout architecture for that player, and no other Kenyan licensee has published a higher figure.
The bonus terms are near-identical, which is why they resolve nothing: Wezabet publishes a 5% deposit bonus plus a 300% accumulator boost at 10x turnover. Betway publishes terms we could not verify — betway.co.ke returned an error when we checked on 9 September 2026 — so we print none. Choose on the cashback-versus-ceiling axis, not on a bonus figure one of the two has not shown us.
Track record and player protection
This is where Betway earns something the numbers above do not show. It runs the compliance machinery of a large international group on a Kenyan licence, though we could not read its licence number off its own site during this check: clearly written terms that change infrequently, a proper complaints escalation path, and published responsible-gambling tooling — deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion that are actually findable in the account settings rather than buried in a policy page. For a player who wants hard limits they can set themselves, that tooling is a real product feature and Wezabet does not currently match it.
The other side of that machinery is verification. Betway's onboarding and withdrawal checks are among the more demanding in the market, and that is the price of the Ksh 1,500,000 ceiling: an operator releasing sums that size has to know exactly who it is paying. Expect document requests, and do not be surprised when a large first withdrawal triggers them.
Wezabet's counterweight is scope rather than seniority. Two BCLB licences — 0001282 and 0001283 — cover its sportsbook and casino operations separately, and it runs a provider roster of Evolution, Playtech, Novomatic, Big Time Gaming, Hacksaw and others behind a dedicated crash-games vertical and its own weekday Aviator Kigongi Jackpot. But it launched in 2024, against Betway's 2017 Kenyan entry and a far longer international history. A shorter track record is a legitimate thing to weigh against a higher rebate, and we would rather you weigh it than have us wave it away.
The decision, stated plainly
Take Betway if any of the following is true: your balance can exceed Ksh 500,000, you want self-imposed deposit or time limits you can actually configure, or you place a premium on an operator whose terms have looked the same for years. Take Wezabet if your losses are the thing you want reduced, if you bet accumulators, or if the casino and crash-game floor is why you are here at all.
Who each one suits
Wezabet
Active players who want losses rebated daily, accumulator bettors, and casino or crash-game regulars.
Betway
Large balances, players who want configurable responsible-gambling limits, and anyone who prefers stable international terms over promotional value.
Our recommendation
Wezabet returns materially more to an ordinary Kenyan player and is the operator we feature. Betway is the correct choice for a large bankroll or for anyone who wants strong self-exclusion and limit tooling built in — and that is a real reason to pick it, not a consolation.
